Date: Tuesday, October 13 — 5:30 – 7:00 pm
Location: Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Hickory
Presenter: Ted Goins, President and Chief Executive Officer, Lutheran Services Carolinas
As parents age, they may face a need and/or desire to change their housing arrangements — from modifying a home to make it more physically accessible or safe, to moving to a new residence that offers more substantial medical and assistive services. No matter how minor or major the change, this may be a stressful time for everyone.
This ACAP program will assist participants in learning about:
- The array of housing options and services available to our parents (and us!) as we age;
- Strategies and resources for evaluating and choosing housing options and services;
- The concept of “aging in place;” and
- Strategies and resources for home modifications, assistive technology, financial resources, and other supports to help people live safely and independently as long as possible.
ACAP gratefully acknowledges the sponsor for the October ACAP program, Trinity Ridge.
Hope you’ll join us!
Registration is strongly encouraged!
