Anxiety and depression are frequently associated with aging. They may be a result of specific health and medical conditions and/or they may be the result of a physical and social losses.
This program will help adult-child caregivers understand and differentiate between anxiety and depression, recognize the characteristics and potential causes, and offer tips for communicating with our parents and key professionals to manage the conditions.
This ACAP program will assist participants to demonstrate an awareness of and knowledge about:
- The characteristics and potential causes of anxiety and depression as people age;
- Tips for recognizing anxiety and depression
- Strategies for communicating with their parents and key professionals in order to manage the conditions.
