One of the most overlooked, yet significant, populations in our nation is the group of adult-children who are, in some way, caring for their aging parents. As front-line supporters, advocates and caregivers, unmet caregiver needs significantly impact the caregiver, care recipient, family, community and nation.

ACAPcommunity’s focus is on the adult-child caregiver, giving us necessary tools for effectively caring for our aging parents and helping us begin planning for our own aging. Monthly educational programs are the core of ACAP chapters, providing a base from which participants receive critical information and resources within an environment of support and community. Each month, an expert, well-known and well-respected in his or her field, presents a program on one of the myriad issues regarding aging, family dynamics and adult-child caregiving.
